Privacy Policy

Chanak analyzes speeches and campaign ads before they go public. Because the material you share with us is sensitive by nature, this policy explains plainly what we collect, what happens to it, and how you stay in control.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address, managed through our sign-in provider Clerk. We do not store your password.
- Videos you upload or record. Campaign ads and practice speech recordings you submit for analysis.
- Analysis results. Engagement scores, timelines, and a transcript of the speech in the video, kept in your private job history.
- Optional data files. Polling or research spreadsheets you upload to calibrate audience analysis.
- Usage and audit records. Timestamps, job identifiers, and the IP address of requests, kept for security and abuse prevention.
How your video is processed
Your video is transferred securely to GPU compute (Modal) for analysis and written only to temporary storage there, which is deleted when the analysis finishes. The video itself is not kept. The analysis results — scores and transcript — are stored in your private history until you delete them.
Uploaded polling and research data
Spreadsheets you upload are held in server memory for the duration of your session only, are used solely to calibrate your own analysis, and expire automatically after about one hour. They are never shared or used to improve any model.
Third-party processors
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Modal — GPU compute for video analysis (transient processing).
- Google (Gemini) or OpenAI — only when LLM-enhanced analysis is enabled, the text transcript of your video (never the video itself) is sent to generate framing and targeting analysis.
- Sentry — error monitoring (technical error details, not your content).
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers, parties, or campaigns other than your own account.
Your data, your control
- Every job in your History can be deleted individually. Deletion removes the stored results and transcript permanently.
- Delete all my data (in the History tab) permanently erases every job, score, transcript, and calibration record tied to your account.
- Uploaded data files can be removed at any time from the Your Data tab, and expire on their own within about an hour.
Data isolation
Your jobs, results, and uploads are scoped to your account. No other account can read them.
